Valentines Day Dinner Hampers

Instead of the normal dinner for two at a restaurant that EVERYBODY will be at, why not have an intimate dinner for two in the comfort of your own home? Soft lights, candles and romantic music in the background to set the mood and all you need is the food, good food. Well look no further, this year we have put together two, three course menu options. All you need to do is decide which menu you prefer, give us a call and collect. Once at home: heat and eat. No long hours of preparing and dirty dishes, and more long hours of relaxing over an awesome meal with that special person.

Back to School

After the long Summer /Christmas Holiday, this is a kids worst phrase: “Back to School”! No more late nights, lie – in’s or long days in the sun on the beach.

Fortunately, when we speak about school, thoughts of delicious dishes whipped up by Liam or a special guest is what comes to mind.

Dish after tasty dish accompanied by terrific wines sounds far more enticing than boring lessons given by, often, less than enthusiastic teachers.

Our guest Chefs and most certainly, Liam are more than happy to guide our guests through all the intricacies of their dishes, and answer any questions they may have. If you haven’t attended one of our demonstrations, now is the time. So it’s back to school, but in the most fun way, for all that cannot wait to sample fantastic dishes and try then at home. We will be adding new dates via our newsletter, keep posted.

Time flies when you’re having fun, an old adage, but one we know to be true. We are almost halfway through January (!!) seems time waits for no-one!

Launch of Lessons with Liam in November

Lessons with Liam

In November, Liam, in conjunction with NB Publishers, launched “Lessons with Liam” at Chefs Warehouse. The launch took place over 2 days, with customers, media, friends and family joining in the celebration, with dishes from the book being served with wines from Leopards Leap.

Pete Goffe-Wood, the guest speaker, regaled guests with anecdotes from his experience working with Liam. Photographer Russell Smith, with whom Liam collaborated on “Lessons with Liam”, joined in the fun with friendly banter much to the delight of the guests assembled.

The book has so far been a fabulous success, with copies flying off the shelves both at Chefs Warehouse and book stores alike. Click on the link above to catch a glimpse of what happened.

We are cooking! After a short break, we are back in the swing of it, albeit with a slight holiday spirit.

We hope everybody had a FANTASTIC Christmas and we all send our best wishes for the New Year!

New year, new start and new classes. We always look forward to the classes we hold at Chefs Warehouse. It means we have lots of people coming in, some familiar faces and some new. This year we have some new classes, and will be introducing more as the year progresses. See the latest list below:

Opening and Closing Times for Chefs Warehouse

With the Festive Season upon us, our opening times will be a-changing.

We will be open on the following days:

Monday 17th December from 9am to 1pm

Sunday 23rd December from 10am to 1pm

All other days we are open as usual.

We will be closing for Christmas and New Years, dates as follows:

Close Tuesday 24th December 1pm, reopen 2nd January as normal.

We will also take orders for our food products, just a little sometimething to make your Christmas and all the relevant parties, an easier experience. Have a look at our list and let us know what you would like.

Don’t forget that we have fantastic Hampers available. They are made up to order. Your wish is our command.

Christmas is mostly about family and tradition, and while we are far removed from the tradional ways in which our friends in the Northern Hemisphere celebrate Christmas, that doesn’t mean we can join in on all the fun.

Our Christmases are hot and dry, this being the biggest difference in the way we celebrate Christmas compared to our northern friends. And although this doesn’t stop us from enjoying turkey lunches with all the trimmings and other festive cheer, it helps to have little reminders of how Christmas is celebrated up north.

Sad news

We learned this morning that two of Heston Blumenthal’s chefs from The Fat Duck, were killed in a car accident in Hong Kong.

Chefs  Ivan Jorge, 34, and Carl Lindgren, 30, died alongside their driver Wong Kim-Chung, 53, after  their taxi was  crushed between two buses.

The chefs had been in Hong Kong with Jonny Lake, head chef of The Fat  Duck, to promote a new Heston Blumenthal restaurant.

A spokesman for the Fat Duck confirmed two “uniquely talented” senior chefs had been killed in the accident, understood to have happened while they were with a team from the three Michelin-starred restaurant cooking a series of special meals at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in the city.

Our condolences go to their families, friends and colleagues.

Special SALE Drawers
