Book now for:
"The Art of Pairing Food and Wine"
CLASS OVERVIEW
There are no strict rules that say you cannot eat what you like with whichever style of wine you choose. The long established myth that white wine should be drunk with fish and red with meat is just that – a myth!
Join Sommelier Mia Mårtensson from the Winery of Good Hope and Chef Liam Tomlin as they guide you through the art of pairing food and wine. This class will focus on the wonderful and totally understated skill of combining the flavours of wine and food and will demonstrate combinations that really set off the wine and food partnership perfectly. Mia will take you through a tasting of 6 different varietals and Liam will prepare 6 tasting dishes and will provide the recipes to go with them and he will gladly answer any questions regarding the food preparation throughout the evening. The wines chosen by Mia will show their versatility with the dishes.
They hope after the evening it might encourage you to choose your wine first and then source the food to match with the wine rather than the other way round. It is always good to get a different perspective and this tasting will undoubtedly encourage you to build a broader understanding of relationships in flavour between wine and food.
There are only 16 seats available so book early to avoid disappointment.
