We are excited to have Liam back in Cape Town! And with his return, loads of new classes. There are some totally new classes and the return of some popular ones. We are postponing our Basic Techniques course to February, but look forward to the new 5 Part Basic Desserts course starting late November.
On 24th October, Liam will be doing “Chocolate“. This class is part of a series of classes corresponding with the excerpts that Taste magazine have published from Liam’s new book: “Lessons with Liam”. The last class this year in this series is “Tomatoes”, on 29th November. Both classes are R350 pp from 6pm to 9pm.
Liam’s “Easy Entertaining” classes winds down for the year, last one is 29th October, 6pm to 9pm R450. We will be replacing these classes with “Cooking for Friends” in the new year. Keep posted.
We all use some or other knife in the kitchen, and often come up wanting. Liam will show guests all that is needed to know regarding knives in his “Knife Skills” class. As with all our classes, this is a demonstration class, and is as informative and useful as any other class. 15th November, 6pm to 9pm R300.
Our final guest chef class this year is very aptly a Christmas class. Roxanne Floquet will show guests some sugar craft and Christmas decorating of ginger bread biscuits. 17th November, 10am to 1pm R450.
One last trip around the world this year, and we are headed to Europe, well Greece to be exact. Liam will be demonstrating “Greek Cookery” 21st November. Come join us for some delicious Greek fare, 10am to 1pm R450.
Christmas will be on many people’s minds soon and who better to show a stress free Christmas menu than Liam? Expect something different and exciting and lots of duck fat, 24th November “Christmas with Liam” 10am to 1pm R450. In addition to the Christmas class, Liam will also do “Christmas Baked Goods”. Expect lots of yummy treats to compliment any Christmas function you may be hosting or planning. 8th December 10am to 1pm R450.
We are looking forward to our new “5 Part Basic Dessert” course. Starting 27th November with Ice Cream, Sauces and Sweets, this is THE class to get started in the exciting world of desserts! The 4th December is Set Desserts and Plated Desserts, followed on 11th December by Chocolate. The course will resume in January. 6pm to 9pm R3000 for the whole course and R650 per individual class. An alternative to turkey or chicken for Christmas is duck. Often overlooked because the task of cooking duck is sometimes seen as daunting, allow Liam to “Demystify Duck” in a class entirely devoted to duck. Be it Duck Rillette or Confit or how to render duck fat for the best roast potatoes or Duck Sausage, duck will never be looked at with doubt after this class. 1st December, 10am to 1pm R450.
With Summer upon us, we will be looking at eating fresher, lighter meals. Liam will be hosting “Summer Salads”, perfect for all the braais that will be had and also for those wanting to maintain a healthier diet over the summer months. 6th December 6pm to 9pm R450.
Our final class for the year will be a class based on Liam’s book “Season to Taste”. The book is based on Liam’s 18 favourite ingredients and promises to be a culinary delight. If this book is on your shelves and you have been putting off making something from it, come join Liam as he takes you through these beautiful dishes. 13th December 6pm to 9pm R550.
